Youth Peer Mentor Training: 30/10/10 (WC)
Youth Unplugged are offering peer mentor training for young leaders.
Organisations are invited to send a maximum of 5 young people to this
training session.
We have recently launched a new project called “BEYOND NOW” which focuses on reaching 20 000 young people within the February 2011 – February 2012 period. This objective will be obtained by training up 200 potential leaders between the ages of 20 – 35 from 10 January 2011 – 28 January 2012 as Peer Mentors.
All of the 200 leaders will then have to go back to their own communities in the search to find 100 young people individually to mentor from a holistic perspective focusing on (Arts and Culture ,Education , Sport and Recreation, Health and Social).
All 200 leaders will be given a monthly incentive as well as various trainings throughout the year.
Various assessments will be done on all leaders throughout the year and upon completion of this programme 30 successful leaders will be offered a permanent opportunity in youth development. All 200 applicants will receive an accredited youth developer qualification certificate after successfully completing this programme for the year.
This is a great opportunity for networking with various youth leaders from all over South Africa as well as a potential opportunity to be form part of this National Programme.
It is requested that you select 5 potential leaders to attend this seminar ( if you have already been briefed and visited my offices already for an assessment then you need to bring along 10 young people from your community)
Please note there will only be provision made for the first 100 people so to avoid disappointment book immediately.
(YOUR SEAT WILL ONLY BE CONFIRMED UPON RECEIPT OF PAYMENT)
REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED
